My Journey as a Virtual Office Assistant

I have worked as a Virtual Assistant  for the last 5 years  on both a routine (retained) basis and ad hoc basis in a variety of industries.   The assistance I can offer to a business is always flexible for their individual needs. 

For 5 years I worked as an executive PA  for a major Telecoms company, whilst here I undertook my NVQ Level 3 in administration.  This role involved working for our customers with security classified  information; I am used to working practises with this type of information.  My manager was overseeing 4 UK sites, therefore this marked the start of my virtual administrative assistant role. I was responsible for the scheduling of his and his subordinates diaries, meetings and visits.

I spent 4 years within the NHS in support roles (such as dealing with insurance forms and preparation of patient paperwork) and customer facing roles; again this working environment bolstered my awareness of data protection.


A further 15 years of experience has been gained across a variety of manufacturing industries and hospitality/tourism.  For 10 of these years I worked as a travel coordinator for tailor-made, high end, long haul travel; effectively giving the PA service to each of my allocated clients travelling with the company.
